Biodiversity
We work actively to strengthen biodiversity on our campuses. By planning and developing outdoor environments with varied vegetation, creating habitats for pollinators and integrating green solutions into our buildings, we contribute to ecosystems in balance. Our ambition is that our properties and land areas should not only be places for study and work, but also living environments where plants, animals and people can interact. In this way, we take responsibility for reducing our ecological footprint and creating long-term sustainable campus environments.
Biodiversity on campus
Inventories for the big picture
We measure the degree of biodiversity on our campuses to ensure that we are moving in the right direction. Through nature value inventories, we get a better picture of the qualities and species variation that exist on campus, as well as an indication of what efforts need to be made to improve diversity.
The entire value chain matters
We know that our impact on biodiversity extends much further than the efforts we make in our outdoor environments in our property areas. As a major client, we also have a responsibility and an opportunity to influence, and we work continuously with this from a sustainability perspective. When it comes to biodiversity, it can be about the choice of materials, types of energy or the requirements we place on our suppliers.
